Precautionary quarantine protocols have been updated
Following approval by the Government Executive Committee, and based on the latest international data and developments, the precautionary quarantine protocols have been updated, as follows:
Starting from Thursday, 13 January 2022:
- The precautionary quarantine period for individuals who hold a green shield on the ‘BeAware’ application, will be seven days from the date of infection, and those individuals can exit quarantine after seven days without taking an PCR exit test.
- Individuals who are unvaccinated or hold either a yellow or red shield on the ‘BeAware’ application, must quarantine for ten days from the date of infection and can exit quarantine after ten days without taking a PCR exit test.
- Travellers entering the Kingdom of Bahrain, holding a yellow or red shield on the ‘BeAware’ application and unvaccinated travellers, will need to quarantine on arrival for a period of seven days. As previously announced, travellers who hold a green shield on the ‘BeAware’ application are not required to quarantine.
